Mount Sorak is the 3rd highest mountain in Korea. It is on the east coast of Korea and very near to North Korea Border. It was snowing a little when we reach the foot of the mountain. The guide told us that it is very unusual to see the sunshine and snowing at the same time.
We took the cable car to ascend somewhere near the peak and then hiked up. It was quite tiring.. :P
Taken from the cable on the way to the peak. Majestic view!
Hiking up to the peak. Quite tiring and it was so windy and cold!
Reached the peak! The scale of the person should give you a general idea of the size of the rocky peak ;)
The edges at the peak are quite scary. I got phobia of falling over the cliff.. :P Notice the white dots? It was snowing and the wind is so strong.. scary..
View from the cable car on the way down. I was quite happy to descend as I was about to turn into ice block :P
At the foot of Mt Sorak, there is this very huge Buddha statue. One of the family from our tour group were praying to the Buddha. Nice family :D
This statue was near the Buddha statue. Thought the silhouette looks interesting backlit by the sun :)
