Singapore Flyer - World’s largest observation wheel

Finally we managed to visit the Singapore Flyer! Good thing is we managed to reach in the evening before the sunsets.. good for taking pix.. :D My fav time..

The ticket is about SGD 30 for an adult.

We walked from Esplanade to the Singapore Flyer which is at Marina Promenade. Think it's about 10-15 min stroll.. it's actually quite a nice walk if you go along the waterfront.

Approaching the Singapore Flyer

Inside the capsule

Sun setting. The capsule in view is at the peak. Approx 165m.

ECP expressway in the background.

The tallest building in view here is the Millenia Tower

The expressway to the city. Those bright lights at the back is the construction site for the new integrated resort

Bangkok 14-20 Sept 2008

A pot of gold at the end of this rainbow..

Departing from Changi Airport

Had a little walk at the departure gate. Nice Koi pond but not really in the mood to enjoy...

Arrival in Bangkok

Dark clouds greeted me on the way from the airport to the hotel

Approaching the city

It started to pour.. -__-

Unknown ahead

A quiet Sunday evening

Bangkok City after a heavy evening downpour. What a way to start the week in Bangkok..

View from my hotel room

Exploring the surrounding area for food

This road, I later learnt is jam packed every weekday evening.

Sashimi

Had a hard time finding things to eat on the first evening of arrival since I am not familiar with the place.

Settled with Fuji restaurant. One of the familiar food in BKK for me.

Colorful Jam

It rained every evening in BKK and it flooded quite a bit. I almost thought I saw a pond in the middle of the road.. lol..

Streets in BW

For Canon Camera Buff

Almost felt like apologizing for using a Lumix.. haha..

Siam Paragon Surrounding

Was attracted by the reflection it created on the shop front. Actually I was hesitated to shoot the shops front inside shopping malls but too tempted so I walked back to take this shot anyway.. haha

Film Festival

Media coverage event

Lamborgini Showroom

Siam Paragon

Siam Skytrain station

Dusit Park

I wonder why I had overlooked this place on my previous visits to Bangkok.

It's quite an eye opener visiting the old palace. My tiny complain would be the ban on photo taking inside all the buildings. Also before entering each building, shoes must be taken off.

I only managed to shoot the Vimanmek Mansion from this angle.

This building stores photography work by HM King Bhumibol himself. My main purpose of visiting Dusit park in the first place.. hehe..

Abhisek Dusit Thron Hall - Exhibition of the SUPPORT Foundation's Thai Handicrafts

Before entering The Ananda Samakhom Throne Hall, woman wearing pants will have to buy a 40 baht sarong to wear. All woman must wear skirts to enter. I'm not sure why... The sarong layered on top on my thick jeans is killing me.. I can hardly walk... -_- But still the grand vista is worth visiting.

Siam Station walkabout

Chanced upon an event to probably encourage entepreneurship among the youngsters.

This friendly young artist gladly pose for my cam

These gals are selling nice reversable tote bag.

Earth from Above exhibition. This exhibition was also in Singapore's Orchard road quite a while ago. But I have seen new work from this exhibition.
