Taiwan 9–18 November 2012 : Day 8

Day 8 Itinerary
- Houshanpi (後山埤)
- Taipei 101 & Surrouding XinYi Area (信義)
- Wufenpu (五分埔)
- Raohe Night Market (台北市饒河街觀光夜市)

After the tiring trip yesterday, I decided that we should do a more relaxing itinerary today. So the plan is to go Wufenpu and then Raohe night market.

After our Mac breakfast (bliss), we took the MRT To Housanpi.

As it was still quite early.  we decided to explore the surrouding area nearby which supposedly has a lot of veg shop. We were not familiar with the area and randomly walked about.

We ended up only seeing 2, 3 veg shop and only ate one veg dumpling.. lol

We walked back towards the direction of wufenpu to look around but as we were still too early, most of the shops are not opened (failed lol). So we took a bus to City hall area to look see Taipei 101 and its surrouding malls.

Look at the amount of food!

What we picked. The price is by weight. Kinda interesting

After lunch, we ordered fruit juice (mango sorbet and melon milk).

We took the train back to Housanpi station and walked towards Wufenpu. End up we didn't buy anything there and was getting a little bored. Maybe cause it was so similar to Platinum Mall and JJ market in Bangkok (which we just went 2 weeks earlier).

We walked towards SongShan train station as we knew Raohe night market is just next to it. But we were too early! What a day!! Most stalls are not ready yet. It's better to go after 6pm if you like to experience the full crowd and opened stalls.

We only managed to eat Ai yu ice and fried mushrooms. By the time we left at 6 plus, the famous pepper bing already has snake line forming! If you are aiming for this at Raohe, you should probably be there at 5.30pm or earlier instead.

We were lazy to walk back to Housanpi MRT station, so we just took the train at SongShan train station back to Taipei train station.

On the way back, we bought 2 veg bentos (Chengpin) + 2 donuts (Mister donut) at Taipei station shops.
