Lake Wanaka

After about 2, 3 hours of drive, we reached Lake Wanaka.

We didn't even realised that we have reach our destination. We were looking at our map trying to figure out which town was this until we see a big Wanaka signboard.. lol.. so blur.

Big bunch of flowers right outside our motel

The motel owner recommended a few place to walk about along Lake Wanaka so we took the map to drove to a few of the marked spots.. :D

This town is quieter compared to Queenstown so it's rather nice to chill out here.

We parked our car nearby and started the little exploration around Lake Wanaka

The weather is still gloomy but at least it's not raining.. :D

A DIY swing from tree branch. Not too comfortable play with according to my fren.. :P

A slab of stone in the lake

We saw 2 rowers passing by. I waved to them as one of them turn and looked at us snapping away at them. The guy at the back waved back.. lol..

Some wild flowers along the way

I like these mini bunch of flowers!

I like how this tree growing along the walking route..

Some houses inside the 'park'. Acccording to the guidebook and the motel owner, these are some really expensive properties.. :P We saw one helicopter parked somewhere along the route.

We didn't know how long the walk will take, so we decided to turn back :P
The walk is relatively easy and quite enjoyable. These looks like sakura.. lol looked so sweet

These looked like part of a world map.. lol

We then drove to the west part of Lake Wanaka. Yellow lupins with Lake Wanaka as the backdrop

Back to centre part of the lake. Earlier on, we saw someone swimming in the freezing lake -_-" A lot of people were staring at the 2 young lady swimmers. Can't imagine how they can do that. So cold ~~

Lake Wanaka is growing to be a tamer version of Queenstown. You can enjoy some nice watersports here as well
